Damn is that the old X-Men cartoon? I only have vague memories but Nightcrawler and Gambit were the coolest characters

Oh so it was not a “remastered” sequel; they kept the artstyle
It’s updated a bit and looks great! Worth watching.
My favorite moment was in the first episode when Cyclops made a " … Not!" joke.
The rest of the series was also awesome, but that was the peak for me.
If you do watch it you may want to read up on the arcs that happened in the original, or rewatch it. They just jump right in referencing a lot of different plotlines and notable characters.
Seems very true to how I remember the original, but seems like a smoother/higher frame rate
