‘I dated a robot’?
Love and Rocket
That this is medium difficulty tells me I’ve watched Futurama too many times now.
Does anyone know offhand if they had Lucy Liu record a new line, or did they use tape from I Dated a Robot?
I always figured they just had her do that line while doing Her big episode
I have sort of been doing my best guess on the difficulty. I have all the episodes memorized, just like you, and I have no idea how hard it might be for the average fan.
I think medium is right. It’s an unusual enough scene to narrow it down, but being a callback to an earlier episode makes it more difficult (you can see in the comments how most people are associating it with I Dated a Robot rather than Love and Rocket).
As someone who has posted hundreds over on the Simpsons, it’s impossible to get the difficulty right every time.
I’ve posted easy ones for me, which turn out to be hard, and I’ve posted hard ones for me, which turn out to be easy.
I think you got the one right for any huge fan. Regular fans, who knows.
Thank you for doing this game over on The Simpsons community. I definitely stole this from you.
On the DVD commentary they say she recorded a bunch of variations of this line when she was recording for “I dated a robot” because they wanted to make this call back, but weren’t sure the full context
What happened to the ships radio? This isn’t alternative rock, it’s college rock!
I feel like this one is like mid season 3… but that’s a way out there guess
Edit:
I checked after I guessed
Not even close, it was the season 3 finale, I evidently haven’t re-watched Futurama enough.
Sounds like a good excuse for a rewatch!
