• Merry Christmas and a Happy Saturnalia!

I’d like to say that I especially like the brown paper presents. Years ago I went through a phase for a few Christmases where I wrapped with brown paper, twine (or fabric ribbon) and no tape allowed. It was wonderful, and some of my favorite given gifts, and always appreciated by the recipient if only for the novelty. It was a lot of work, especially on gifts that weren’t uniformly cuboid; finding good quality, large sheets of plain brown paper was harder than it should have been; and having to often wrap at other people’s houses when traveling meant I couldn’t always do this; so I went back to regular wrapping paper.

Your picture inspires me, though, and I really like (what I believe) is the wax stamp! What a wonderful touch, and opportunity to get several customized seals for individuals! I love it. Next year, I’m doing this again.
