Where’s the big floppy pole vaulter?
Good info, thanks. Generally, that’s what I would expect from any area owned by the oil and gas industry (and/or just exceptionally corrupt). Kind of surprised that California still doesn’t have more progressive energy policies. And allows PG&E to regularly embarrass the state.
Alternative: Create more energy, preferably renewable. Penalize heavy users only (raise costs). Incentivize (lower costs) those using renewables like solar panels. Raising costs for all is the laziest way.
There seems to be a strategically placed hand blocking a parmesan grinder, probably for the best. But seriously, the other photo of her smiling and hugging the cheese like a giant stuffed animal is somehow heartwarming. It’s cheese, brain. Thousands of dollars of fancy cheese.
For things that look legit, for example seasonal political campaigns, and include in message something like “reply STOP to quit”, replying “STOP” does usually end it quickly. Recommended.
Should be one of the first things any anti-spam app/feature should be doing. Wish it was automated into OS spam defenses, then the “responsive human” worry would be eliminated.
I thought this was the best course of action, too. It was not. New numbers, seemingly infinite, keep spamming me. They are political, seemingly real Democrat-linked entities (but I’m skeptical because this spam is obviously a brain-dead idea). After replying “STOP”, they definitely slowed.
I love Keepa, and the Firefox addon. However, they seemed to nerf their wishlist features (auto sync problems, 10 items max, etc). Noticed after missing deals, due to not receiving alerts of price drops. Still very useful, but CCC now has more reliable auto tracking lists (just add to wishlist, it will auto sync and email any drops).
Yes. Just FYI: All three have free “freeze” option, hidden somewhere (probably thanks to federal law). They also have very similar paid option, which they heavily advertise; That’s not the one. They do all require free accounts, but probably worth it to be able to freeze/unfreeze instantly online.
I just received “dark web” alert about SSN, phone, name, and email… that I only used at AT&T many years ago. So AT&T has definitely leaked our data as well. Add 'em to the list…
What kills me is that just a couple morons can contaminate a large batch of recyclables, that could’ve otherwise been perfect. But I guess humanity will always have this sort of problem, until it kills us.
I never, eh… ate these (wtf?), but damn they were fun to hit with a baseball bat or golf club, and imagine where on the planet they landed.
And they’re not done yet! It’s also a shame they’ll probably waste the money they’ve accumulated on the worst possible things and people on the way out (fueling the dumpster fire).
Exactly. I think an aftermarket VESA mount is pretty much required these days for modern TVs, that’s the bad news. The good news is that there are plenty of options (center base, wall, swivel, etc), some very affordable, and they should last for multiple TV generations (check VESA pattern, weight limits).
But I get that these tiny, wide feet can be mind boggling at first, since TVs all used to have center stands for decades. Finally, TVs got too large, the cost savings and stability from two tiny feet won out over the alternative of the large, heavy single center base.
I used Power Delete Suite (javascript IIRC, via Firefox, year ago) to edit and delete, and mine are still gone. Not sure if it is still effective.
Reddit is probably less and less tolerant about edits and deletions, now that they’re full speed on selling our data. Still see plenty of deleted posts when I’m searching for things, which is… nice I guess (bittersweet).
