We should force the people who were super greedy and became dragons with hoards of cash to work for the public in a service job like janitor or old person care. Maybe that will make them think about other people.

9·9 months agoThis is the right answer. Shock is one of the things you learn about in battlefield medicine because it happens very often in conflicts.
Fluke makes a bunch of tone generators and circuit finders that you can use to figure out which line you need to work on. I assume linesmen have something similar for their more robust needs.

7·10 months agoYou have to post a wrong answer on an alt so that someone will post the correct answer to look smart. It’s called Poe’s Law.
I put my 10 in WIS to good use.
Doors tend to be weak to slashing or bludgeon so i keep an axe and hammer in my bag for just such a purpose.

The classic riddle has the caveat that you are only allowed to ask one question so how is asking “what’s 2+2?” going to let you know which door to take?
When i quit smoking i still took smoke breaks with the smokers. Just called it a mental health break instead. If smokers need a few minutes to ease their nerves with nicotine then the rest of us can take a few minutes to calm our nerves with fresh air.

Nah, e is the same across most spanish accents. It’s more likely we’re just using different letters for the same sounds as i said in my other comment.
I think we might just be using different orthography to get the same sound. I hear her say ay-may.
Not to my american raised ears. I live in colombia and have for nearly a decade. To my ears the spanish “e” sound is most similar to the english sound “ay” as in hay or may but shorter. I’ve never heard someone make the phoneme “eh” here in colombia.
