Do you have grocery delivery in your area? If she isn’t picky with the brand of pizza, maybe a $6 frozen pizza heated in the oven would be an alternative. Not sure if you have to tip, I haven’t tried it myself.

Arch was stable for me in the 5-6 years I used it (I’ve moved on to other distros since). The only issues I really had were grub and display related problems that were fixable in less than an hour. As another comment said, a quick search will instantly show you someone who already had the same issue and how it was resolved.

Not sure how long ago you tried installing linux, but it has come a long way such that there are distros out there that are basically plug-and-play installable now. I installed Linux Mint on an old laptop and just went through the gui installer like you would on a Windows installation, and it was up and running. Didn’t need to open the terminal even once.

Oh for sure, I know people with more filthy hands probably touched the produce, and I do wash them when I get home. I was just sharing something I remember at a time where spreading bodily fluids was an extra concerning thing.

And no, I personally do not touch the produce. I open the plastic bag just with my hands, invert it to wrap around my hand, and grab the produce with it. So my hands never directly touch them.

I remember back at the height of the pandemic, I saw this lady licking her finger so she can open those plastic bags, then proceeded to touch multiple vegetables and fruits.

Most newer cars that have electronic parking brakes have an auto brake-hold feature that you can turn on. It keeps the car still when you depress the brake pedal a little deeper. Then the car won’t move when you release the brake and will only do when you step on the gas (or brake) again. It’s very useful at stop lights and drive thrus so you don’t have to keep your foot on the brakes all the time.
