Heh something I would try. I mean I’ve thought about making clothes (recycling old stuff) since I know how to use a sewing machine, home-ec class. I have serious damage on my hands from chemicals, fingers getting pinched, -_- skateboarding, power tools, etc. My left hand shakes all the time and the thumb clicks moving it. So putting together Gundam models works out since I mostly only use my right hand, which at least doesn’t shake but I don’t have the mobility like I used to.

  • So I was a government contractor, don’t worry not like the shit you see on TV these days. Things related to states getting funding for natural disasters and so forth. Security. Security with guns lol. Helping people who dd214’d get all their benefits and make sure they didn’t get taken advantage of. Material handling. Event Handling. And a bunch more. And job aside, a support animal for people with ptsd.

The irony is that I was going to enlist in the Air Force, broke my leg and ended up a contractor. I can safely say I’ve been on more bases then most of my friends who’ve been enlisted lol

  • lol when I worked in an office I maybe worked 2 hours at most on average. The rest was drinking coffee, listening to music, browsing the internet, watching anime, chatting with coworkers, smoking, going out to lunch and drinking. And really that was only a couple days a week, the rest of the week I had my personal assistant drive me around to do check ups on employees, which was basically me sleeping. I got my work done, but that’s basically how a work day went. And if you question how I got away with all of that, it’s because I was the CEO’s assistant and he knew lol. I actually lived with him when I first moved until a got a place of my own. I will say the copious amount of alcohol consumed at that point in my life was impressive, but hey it helped me get over all the ptsd of working in education.

  • Jokes aside, I’m really impressed with Lemmy. It’s like taking a step back in time where people actually interacted with each other even if it’s dumb jokes or stupid pictures (which I put some of my own on here).

We should try to preserve what we enjoy what brought us here. It may be digg, gamefaqs, reddit, newsvine, or whatever faded into the past.

  • So I keep it pretty easy; Great northern, Cannellini, Red, Black, Navy, Kidney, Pinto, --sometimes Black-eyed, and if you can get some Adzuki–which are my favorite. I fry some of the beans with garlic prior to throwing them in the slow cooker. Adzuki beans are great, you can blend some to use as a thickener. Another bean you can use is natto, which isn’t for everyone, but it’s hard to tell it’s there once it’s slow cooked, it also thickens the chilli but don’t go overboard.

Also using Mirin, cooking wine, and miso are a staple for me. Sometimes I’ll add in a bit of Marmite. Depending on if you want to keep it vegetarian, I have fried up some tempeh and people think it’s bacon lol. But good tempeh is hard to get where I live.
