Prologue is an iOS app that can play audiobooks from a Plex library. I didn’t know they were working on ABS compatibility but that would be great. As much as I love ABS, Prologue is far more polished.

It’s also only recently that we’ve been living for so long.

Yeah I don’t think our firewall would allow even that. Connections not on port 80 are blocked on almost all devices.
Cool thanks! I don’t think those options would work. The school I work at has a very strict firewall so I doubt ssh or vnc would work on our network.
I’m curious if it’s possible to connect either of these devices to hdmi?
Well what’s nice is that any device on your Tailscale network has a WireGuard connection between any other device on that network. You can also use exit nodes. While all of that can be achieved with WireGuard, the complexity of that can grow quite large as you add more nodes.

There are many Linux communities just waiting to give you a welcoming high five. Why wait to be disappointed by MS?
Easy, just connect 4 cables!
How is that heartbreaking?
Yet here you are on a research project.
All of the ikea Zigbee devices I’ve bought work seamlessly in HA and usually have custom blueprints made by the community.
I see your point but this is completely different. Altman is not on the front page of every news site every day like Elon is, so I’m not sick of looking at his face like I am with Elon.
Also, being fired as CEO of one of the fastest growing (and according to many) one of the most important companies in the world, and then being hired back 3 days later is a pretty big deal and is worthy of my attention. If there are a handful of articles about it, I’m okay with that, at least for now.
But if the antenna passes the usb port then it doesn’t really matter.
A friend of mine had a $2500 gaming laptop that couldn’t use WiFi when he used an external display. He ended up having to use two separate dongles, one for DisplayPort and another for Ethernet. It worked, but was pretty dumb. In the end, though, I was happy that at least he was using a wired connection.
I’ve seen this exact problem on other laptops. Not saying it’s okay, but it’s not exactly an Apple only problem. It’s a “let’s cram everything into this single port and hope it doesn’t interfere with anything” problem.
Yes exactly. QuickSync has been on Intel CPUs (i5 and up) since Sandy Bridge. But I’ve heard that only since 4th gen has it been out.
I would recommend a used SFF PC for docker, and a separate NAS like a Qnap for file storage.
It’s surprising just how bad printer/scanner software is. The desired function is so so simple but the software gets in the way so bad.
All I want from my printer/scanner is to press print, and have it not change its IP address so Windows can’t find it. And to have a big scan button that scans and uploads to an FTP server, none of this Windows Scanner nonsense. (FWIW I actually use NAPS2 which is quite good)
I wonder if HomeKit and HomeKit bridge would satisfy that itch.
I set it up so I can use Siri to open my garage door. Works great! You just need at least one HomeKit device like an Apple TV or a HomePod.
