That secure ssl was an android requirement. You need a web browser if you want to bypass that. Apps using webview can not do that by default unless they opt in. You can try to open a bug report and see if they do that.

Yeah, sure, I hope so. But, qksms doesn’t appear to be a priority for the developer (which is understandable considering many do not choose to support the dev with donations, etc)
That’s hardly what I would call abandoned. Abandoned would mean going years without any update.
That’s the dark mode in reader mode. You need dark reader for actual dark mode for websites
You call them tabs. I call them instant, ready to load, bookmarks. They are there for a reason. I will make sure to use them. Currently, at 76 tabs after a minor purge.
You would have to get the oldest release supporting that android version. Only the initial release appears to support that. You can check here: https://github.com/GrapheneOS/Apps/releases?page=2
But, I would recommend other apps like QKSMS.
I’m fine with the current logo. But, the 2002 logo looks rad. After that, the logo from 2004 is cool.
Can somebody share a list of apps which benefit from this? I hardly use Github and most of my apps come from Fdroid, or play store.
You can still install it from fdroid or github. And there’s an alternative called PersonalDNSFilter if you really wanted an app from the play store.
But, if you spend your credits on the audiobooks you want, you don’t have to lose any. I did not lose the books in my library after using them and canceling my subscription and they still exist
Firefox cannot autofill forms outside login credentials last i knew. That’s not a feature in it. So details like addresses and credit card info are not auto filled.
No, only one store can update the app at the time. If even one is available in both apps
It won’t be updated from fdroid, that’s all. If you mistakenly add fdroid signed apps to the list, you could miss some updates. But that’s reversible. No permanent downside as far as I know.
You guys are talking about the removal of manifest v2. According to a reddit post in ublockorigin. The lite version will be very limited compared to the regular version. Fortunately, Firefox still works, and it won’t be an issue for a while(on mobile and desktop)
If an app is present in the izzydroid repo, it can be updated from the fdroid and play store because the signatures match. You can add those them to a list of non-updatable apps
I searched but could not find any announcement. Can you link where they say they won’t allow adblock?
I wouldn’t say it’s entirely bug free. There are silent crashes and sometimes your position is lost but it works fine.
Multi windows, ability to cache comments are the biggest ones at least for me. Imagine desktop class multi tasking and not having your comments/posts reload because you were low on ram, etc. Smoothness is subject and I find other clients like Jerboa more smoother overall.
I just tested it and could not reproduce the said issue.
Permanent notifications are not a thing since android 14. Every notification can be removed.
