A couple weeks ago I had to travel for work and I picked the longer one because I got paid for more miles and it meant I would get back right at the end of the day so I wouldn’t have to do anything else that afternoon. Also on that 2 hour drive I think I saw 5-6 cars for the first 3/4 of it which was pretty great.

I have both wireless and wired. The wireless ones sound fine although if I switch from one to the other the wired are a noticeable improvement. The real issue I have with them is that there’s a noticeable delay that makes watching every video like a dubbed movie. Secondary to that I have never been able to get ones that fit perfectly so I’m constantly having to poke them back in especially if I’m eating or something and my jaw is moving around and there’s just a lot of general bluetooth issues that are annoying. I have a much easier time with the wired ones just working.

The usb-c would have popped right out and let your phone be smashed into smithereens.

I generally don’t carry that much on me. Phone in left pocket, Leatherman, keys, and pen in right pocket. Wallet and notebook in back pockets. Any more than that goes in my work backpack.

The first upgrade I ever made to a PC was having to get a sound card to run Morrowind.

Yeah that was when I first heard of it. I researched it at the time and saw that it has been around for a long time but I had never heard of it before that and I’d consider myself to be pretty well read on history in general. Obviously enough people were aware of it to push for a holiday so maybe it’s just the part of the country I’m from it wasn’t celebrated much idk.

I’ve been working for 20+ years and I’d never heard of it until a couple years ago. I don’t have a problem with it, celebrating stuff is cool, but it does seem to have come out of nowhere when it became a political issue. Maybe it was a regional thing before that.

Yeah, One of the vendors I work with emailed me to let me know they’d be off that day and I had to look it up. It would have been the same if it was called abolition day or something like that but there’s something a little annoying about the fact that they made it halfway with putting the date in the name.

I watched it a bit growing up and never got racist vibes from it either. The Confederate flag just meant “the south” to me back then. I knew a lot of people with them on various knick knacks and articles of clothing that I never witnessed being racist either. I don’t think people put so much thought into it back then.

These days though, yeah if you’re still flying that flag you’re probably an asshole.
