Yes, peperoncini are a bit like chili. Peperoni is literally “bell peppers” though. Peperone in singular.

Interesting fact, this is one area where the USA and Europe have a very large cultural difference. In Europe, people are themselves at work, they don’t have a work persona like in the USA.
