  • Best to do nothing.

I mean, it depends on some stuff.

I grew up on a farm, and it was common to get these and regular blisters when work was starting up again. If you ignore it, it will 100% get better on its own.

But it’s going to prevent you from doing work. So if you got shit to do, you can pop it, put some antibiotic ointment and a bandaid on, and go right back to work.

So yeah chances are OP should leave it. But its not like there’s a big negative to popping them. A little more pain for a short period, but the pains over faster. Let it get better on its own and you risk it popping on its own if you’re still needing to do stuff.

Since the risk to popping is infection afterwards, a blood blister on the palm like that I’d pop it and get it over with in a sterile setting. Even tho I don’t do manual labor now, nobody wants to grab a door handle and squirt blood all over it because it popped

Yeah, dude tried to open his own personal Netflix and is surprised it got taken down.

From post history he managed to keep it up for less than a month.

I’m betting by “friends” he meant either online friends he’s never met, or people he wanted to impress.

So they gave zero fucks and handed it out to more people. Like, just the idea that you’re giving it to so many people that you actually buy a domain?

There’s a reason everyone isn’t already doing it already.

    considering they’re used server parts.

That really should be in the title…

I dunno, I’m one of those people who never stops using a drive until it breaks, and they never really break anymore. Oldest in my current PC is probably 20 year old HDD.

So yeah, these probably are fine and will still last a long time. But for like $20 more you don’t have to worry about losing the data on it.

    Edit:

Apparently prices just haven’t changed in half a decade or longer? I knew prices went up for COVID, assumed they went back down at some point.

  • Yeah.

I struggled with panic attacks in the military and during an aid mission we brought a bunch of medical staff from other countries with us.

So I talked with a German psychiatrist.

    His advice was basically:

Yeah, you’re in an incredibly stressful situation, obviously you’re going to be stressed, it’s completely normal

Which helped a lot more than it sounds like would have.

He didn’t try to pill me up or anything or say it was my fault for how I’m handling it.

Just very simple matter of fact told me my response was 100% rational.

What the fuck does the average American have to be happy about right now? Millennials being unhappy is because life sucks for lots of us.

  • Sounds like your issue is people made serious communities on an instance that’s mostly fetish porn…

Other instances can’t federate with the sfw stuff and still block the NSFW stuff. Especially since there’s a lot of spillover and communities that aren’t technically porn are still NSFW.

Why be mad at the other instances whose users don’t want to deal with an insane amount of fetish porn and shitty porn adjacent meme subs when they browse Lemmy by /all?

If you want those serious discussions and don’t mind and the furry stuff, make an account there.
