Yea, but users on the tankie instances would still be able to see it in their federated feed, right? I think the majority of federated instances would need to all agree to censor it.
Would the fediverse be able to handle something like this differently?
Your pupils get massive when you’re on LSD, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re able to let in more light to let you see better.
I mean, by definition a water balloon is filled with water.
You just gotta slam your hand in just the right place.
Oh, I thought that was the joke 😂
You personally don’t need a phone either.
A mnemonic is usually a way to memorize the order of a group of hard-to-remember words or phrases. You come up with a set of easy to remember words, or a phrase that starts with the same first letter of the harder to memorize words. For example, Every Good Boy Does Fine is a mnemonic to help people remember the lines on a musical note staff (E, G, B, D, F). For most people, it is easier to remember the phrase “Every Good Boy Does Fine” than to remember E, G, B, D, F so if you can remember the mnemonic, it makes it easier to remember the things that you’re actually trying to remember.
In the picture, the mnemonic is “Lisa Likes Licking Lettuce Lightly” which is supposed to be used to help someone remember the great Lakes. However, notice how every word in the mnemonic starts with the same letter (L) and is used to memorize the Lakes which also all start with L. This makes the mnemonic pretty useless.
A proper mnemonic for the lakes would be something like “Super Heros Must Eat Oats” (Superior, Huron, Michigan, Erie, Ontario).

The article states that the president will be able to ban ANY non-us application by executive order which is inaccurate.
elfin8er@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.ml•Paris Marx: The TikTok ban is all about preserving US power1321·1 year agoHas anybody actually read the bill?
The whole bill is about giving the government power to ban “foreign adversary controlled applications” and there’s nothing about the president being able to ban whatever app they want.
The bill defines a foreign adversary as: “a country specified in section 4872(d)(2) of title 10, United States Code”:
-
The People’s Republic of China, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China);
-
Republic of Cuba (Cuba);
-
Islamic Republic of Iran (Iran);
-
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea);
-
Russian Federation (Russia); and
-
Venezuelan politician Nicolás Maduro (Maduro Regime).
So unless you are on the side of the enemies of the US and want social media apps controlled by them, I don’t know why you wouldn’t support this bill.
Edit: I think the misunderstanding/misinformation comes from a few places, but ultimately I think it boils down to the fact the bill requires the app/platform to be a foreign adversary AND it requires a presidential executive order before the app will be banned.

Doesn’t this only happen with pure distilled water though?
