Yeah, coming in with no prior CAD experience I actually think freecad’s interface makes sense, especially since I’ve used it for both 3d printing (one workbench) and mocking up building plans (a different lumber one I was able to download as an add-on - very cool).

That’s how it originally was in the US. I had it for years and it was absolutely useless, I used to complain about what’s the point of even having it if the only benefit was ONE return without a receipt per calendar year. Which is a valid question. I didn’t actually see anyone say why it sucks here. Literally everyone just said he’s dumb and outdated, when his original advice to me was:

I have no idea his personal skill level or knowledge, but without putting him on blast I know his company has been involved in big stuff. He could theoretically focus more on a different aspect of security and have got this part wrong, I don’t know the details of his job very much by design.
Micro plastics can be released as soon as a water bottle is first filled. This isn’t the structural integrity of the plastic failing, it’s your endocrine system and who knows what else being affected by tiny pieces of plastic that start shedding immediately.
Look, I’m not saying this isn’t a cash grab because the serial inventor who made the aero press sold a controlling stake in his company and the new firm is squeezing as much money out as they can before the patent expires, BUT some of us do care about micro plastics. Not that I give my daughter coffee, but now that I have a toddler we’ve eliminated as much food related plastic as we can.
Stuff is genuinely damaging and yet we keep using it because it’s convenient. And people wonder why the Romans used lead containers.
