Kind of sounds like a landline
Aka csm10495 on kbin.social
Kind of sounds like a landline
Sometimes I wonder: for a PC sitting behind a consumer router with no extra ports forwarded: How important are OS updates?
I mean if everything works for you on this version, why rock the boat? The idea is supposed to be security, fixes, and new features. We can throw out new features and fixes if you’re happy with everything as is.
Security is very buzzy and kind of vague to this type of user, but they also probably don’t tread far off from popular (likely … hopefully … safe) websites.
So hmm, if not accessing unsafe websites, and hidden behind a router NAT, and with physical safety of home, I wonder if the benefit of rocking the boat (and getting more ads and crap) is worth it.
Like definitely risks are there for any internet connected device but weighing it would be interesting. Someone in infosec should do a real analysis of this situation.
Would be a small Walmart
Walmart actually did when I had Walmart+ years ago.
I use jiffies to refer to clock speed.
Exactly the same boat. But man Cloudflare is better in every way. Having an API to update/fetch records for a zone does wonders.

I’m not really ok with that type of anti other country behavior in (edit to add the word: almost) any case. Heck, I want cheap Chinese EV options in the US too.
Make government (and other) tracking opt-out-able by law. That is the law we need. Not this bs version.
This current bill literally sounds like it’s written by American companies to squash a foreign competition. You know Facebook, YouTube, etc. are biting at the teeth for more users (and ad revenue) of short form content; especially if TikTok users scattered to other platforms.
Once again: give users the freedom to chose what they want. This is a government overreach.
I would say make laws about data collection, usage, etc. instead of banning TikTok.
Heck, fix more important problems like income disparity, hunger, homelessness, healthcare, our wasteful spending, so many things more important and yet we’re wasting time on TikTok.
I don’t think people think this is a good use of time.
Seriously, it’s government overreach and ignoring freedom of speech, etc.
Normally I would say view the man page (as a command). Though for some reason when making the thinnest distro possible, the OS team at my job got rid of man.
Wtf man.
People can abuse it all they want. I’ve actually used this feature to parse for some info in comments.
I dig.
If making payments in crypto back to FIAT was free it would be more popular. For me it’s mostly useless since the fee to spend crypto is more than the (often free) fee for using my credit card.
New needs to be better and cheaper to be picked up.
I’m this way with a spoon. I call it the dingus spoon. Hate it.
Does your mall still have a Sears?
They don’t have the space to archive it all. No one does. It’s the reason it has grown so big without real competition.
No one can do it… or at least make money doing it.
For me: probably. Either way, transactions cost money. Either pay the block chain fees or just use cash/credit card.
I’m ok with credit and cash.
LinkedIn has over a billion users. I got a t-shirt for it.
Then when you’re done, you find out one of the core modules you use is considered a ‘security risk’ by your infosec team. So you have to start over.
