You didn’t forgot the butler doesn’t have the key. When you hired the butler you already gave permission to let the butler cast that magic linking from the dollhouse to the safe already (so that you don’t have to keep giving the butler the key when he needs to create new dollhouses that can move stuffs around the safe).
The issue here is that this butler don’t have another separate security protocol to make sure you are the one who can limit what he does with the dollhouse. Any guest that are already invited to your house can ask the butler to do things, so they get to touch the contents of the safe even without the key to the safe.
Well nothing is stopping you from looking down. But this is a neat feature for those who knows to use it.
Back in the typewriter era it will cost you whiteouts every time you do this.
Many communities also have rules that you have to add captions to your images.
So you can place your index fingers on the correct key without looking at the keyboard.

time is stored as seconds since epoch anyways, the computer systems can easily survive by just converting to metric time when displaying. It’s the systems that cares about week/month that hates it
pretty sure the materials costs are dirt cheap, as we see how cheap displays are these days. The cost is going to be how much the service center is going to upcharge you.
could make his blue shirt gold as well

also for many of those factory where you don’t actually need those, it’s more likely to be just some machine vision stuff to alert people if it detects anything that goes wrong, so they can leave it to machines to do most of the steps.
