You presented one that doesn’t have security vulnerabilities? Here’s yet another CVE out for trendnet: https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2018-19239

Every. Single. Brand. Has. CVEs. I’ve used Mikrotik, I’ve used Cisco, I’ve used Juniper, I’ve used Ubiquiti. I have a trendnet Poe switch in my attic powering some cameras and an AP right now. I have no “problem” with any brand of anything.

I do have a problem with you implying that a company doesn’t take security seriously when they do. I start to think you’re intentionally lying when you lift up trendnet as the model, because they have quite an especially atrocious history of it.

Yeah I’ve worked at WISPs that were pushing TBs through their core routers every day. Those core routers? Mikrotiks. Every apartment buildings core routers and fiber aggregation switches? Mikrotiks. You had to get down to the access layer switches that fed the individual apartments to hit Cisco equipment.

This person is just repeating some shit they read somewhere, hoping it makes them sound knowledgeable. In another post they’re recommending trendnet shit. Get back to me when you can set up BGP peering on your trendnet lol.

  • (24 hours x 31 days) x 2 t4g.small instances = 1,488 hours (jfc what are the odds on that being the resulting amount of hours -_-)

    (6 hours x 31 days) x 4 instances = 744 hours

The intent is to give you about one free t4g.small instance for free each month, but they don’t care how you actually use it. If you want to leave a single instance up 24/7, cool. If you want to trial a larger project that has multiple supporting instances also cool, but you’re not getting anything free beyond the equivalent of a single instance running 24/7.

Edit - I am very sorry for necroing this comment/post. I somehow fat fingered my way into iamroot’s post history from a recent post, then sat down and started scrolling under the assumption I was looking at my current All feed. Rip me I guess.

  • Two back to back like this? My tin foil hat money is that Loomer is angling to get Trump to divorce Melania then elope with her. Eric Jr knows that his dad will do it and is terrified of getting cut out of the will once Loomer gets her hooks in Trumps dementia riddled ass, so he’s hiring people to kill his dad before the inheritance can get fucked with. I can’t come up with any other reason we’ve had such poor assassination attempts so quickly like this. The bumbling foolishness has Jr fingerprints all over it.

  • I followed that link fully prepared to watch the entire hour and a half video. I guess it has to be some YouTube conceit, but holy fuck that person narrating needs to fucking talk like a normal person. It sounds like they recorded a bunch of single lines, then spliced them all in like voiceovers in post, but it’s every single sentence. Or maybe they’re trying to talk like the text to speech TikTok voice?

Bros just saying some arbitrary factoid and sounds like he’s doing the overdub for a 90’s movie trailer.
