For the couple months I’ve noticed Swiftfin has had a message in the settings screen saying I should upgrade to Jellyfin 12 or some features won’t work properly.

Jellyfin 12 wasn’t even released yet.

I hadn’t seen that. I think he started this one in 2020, is a fairly decent chunk of effort to put into something.

Ikey has a tendency to abandon his projects. Solus was good when he started it, it barely survived a few restructures after he left, but it was quickly getting outpaced by other distros anyway.

If this one suits you, that’s great, and independent community distros can be cool.

Every time I’ve had an arch distro (not often as I prefer to avoid them) and go to install from the AUR, I get to the point of checking the PKGBUILD and think “oh yeah, forgot about this” and just abort.
