Use of this meme template is strange, as having a kid does impact your freedoms, regardless of your age. It’s just a question of whether you’re ok with that. Which has less to do with age and more to do with comfort and curiosity.

2·16 days agoThat appears to be an Alaska roll. It already has cream cheese but still probably dry on account of the source. Soy sauce would be fine.
“It’s a banana, Michael. How much could it cost, ten dollars?”

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why are sites like Reddit so prone to downvoting people for self-expression or vulnerability?
4·20 days agoMaybe the artwork got downvoted because people thought it wasn’t good, or wasn’t appropriate for the sub
Maybe the comment where you mentioned you’re trans got downvoted if it was seen as not adding to the conversation at hand

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it weird that I cringe whenever someone calls my name and I avoid using peoples names when talking to them?
3·2 months agoI use names when specificity is needed. E.g., if I’m in a room with two other people, and I want to address only one of them, I’ll use a name (or nickname if there is one) to clarify who I am addressing.
If I’m in a room with only one other person, then using a name to address them would be redundant, unless I am not getting their attention otherwise (e.g., they’re engrossed in a book).

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do we have alcohol advertisements. We don't allow cigarettes to advertise
1·2 months agoThe only thing you’re telling me is you’re unaware of the benefits. Making absurd, obviously stupid comparisons won’t convince anyone.
Alcohol can help relax muscles, ease headaches and help you overcome performance anxiety.
A typical beer can pacify and numb mouth sores without aggravating them.
If you’re planning to reply with another obviously moronic comparison, choose better instead.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why do we have alcohol advertisements. We don't allow cigarettes to advertise
11·3 months agoThere is no safe amount of alcohol to drink. It is like cigarettes, entirely bad for you.
Not a great analogy. You’ve just decided the cons of drinking outweigh the pros.

Eat savory snacks.
Keep the water in an open-top container so you can gulp rather than being limited by a straw.
Nintendo’s doing ok, financially (whatever you think of their decisions)
I’m just saying the society that creates Starfleet wouldn’t go down that path.

Give him a break, he was 12, that was a sick burn
