But there is some amount of genuine truth to this simple statement.

It’s not the same effect. Then the sauce will be salted, and the pasta will maybe absorb some of that salt.

But, in my opinion, that’s an inelegant solution.

I personally do not want any more salt in the pasta sauce than what’s already in there. I do, however, want my pasta to take in a little salt from the water.

For those reasons, I add a little salt to my water as it’s boiling

Started a new position last Monday. I’m very happy with the role actually, but it seems so hard to find actual training. I really shouldn’t complain, I’m not assigned much work currently or in the near future.

Just would be nice to have a better idea of the day-to-day, however.

People are really overblowing the price. As other ppl have mentioned, lemmy is less than a fraction of the user base of reddit.

The 4x price increase isn’t crazy. Devs need to make a living. I talk to Lj every now and then on Discord. Dude has been scrambling since the Reddit shut down to get out a working product. I really don’t think it’s price gouging to spend 20$ for an app I’ll be using for maybe 30-mins to an hour almost every single day.
