It’s not an apples to apples comparison. This was a reddit post made by someone who went out of their way to buy things for different amounts to make ragebait.
It’s a dumb post and it is safe to ignore it. Sadly someone reposted it here.

Minecraft is deceptively hard on cpu and gpus for what the game appears to be. It looks simple, but that simplicity comes at the cost of very high computational loads due to how dynamic and interactive everything is. They add in new features pretty frequently for a game I bought 12 years ago. Those features aren’t free and they stress the system even more. Be happy it is playable at all on a phone - it’s nice that they added in tuning parameters to let your phone be capable of playing it instead of saying you need the newest RTX4090 just to get 30fps
It ran while simulating a distance of one chunk at a time. Computers could simulate much more because the game was written to let software define just how far from the user to render. Phones rendered hardly anything which let them at least play the game.
It just has an absolute ton of calculations to perform on hardware that is not made for it.
God damnit they’re going to start making tiktoks into gift cards or some shit.
I buy the bulk pack of general purpose gift cards. Some have got flowers on the front. Others say Happy Birthday in gender neutral styling. They’re all blank on the inside. I write messages to people. The pack of 20 cards costs about the same as two of those shitty pre-written gift cards.
It’s basically ThunderBolt 3 without the licensing.
Five guys will let you fuck your burger
This echos my last five guys in restaurant people watching experience.
Federation of a service is confusing because it is a difficult problem to conceptualize. There’s no way to easily explain how to use federated services to non techies.
For me? That’s fine. I can use federated stuff.
For my mom? Nope. But she needs to get off the internet in general so that’s probably a bad example.
Honestly I kind of agree with op’s submission. Apple just didn’t have a real plan for what they wanted it to be. It sits in an awkward niche between AR and VR and it sucks at both as a result.
A heads up display that could overlay useful information onto the world around you would be amazing.
The problem is that the apple vision is huge and bulky. They need to shrink it down to the size of big nerd eyeglasses. Microsoft did the same thing with their whatever it was called. I played with it a few times at different tech demos. It was garbage from the start because it was heavy, uncomfortable, and the refresh rate was intolerably slow. Apple’s is a slight improvement in a few categories but it still completely misses the point of what AR should be.
That’s why I said go to a wealth management firm. Even relatively small firms routinely handle hundreds of millions.
It’s not so hard to put it in the bank and hire a wealth management firm. They’ll take care of you and tell you how much you can spend each year without losing money. It’d turn into a free $500k salary for life.
I used to have their card just for gas. But I sold my truck and have an EV now. Maybe it’s time to close that account because costco is truly a detriment to my after tax take home pay.
Except their premium canned peanuts. God those are good. The stuff at the grocery store is always stale and 4x the price per weight.
You do you. But I would like to point out that prime encourages excessive consumption of crap we all don’t need. Maybe this bullshit will let you consider dumping prime altogether and perhaps you will find that it isn’t missed.
Personally I do buy stuff from amazon on occasion. Like windshield wipers of odd sizes. But the lack of two day shipping is a good moderator to help me curb my american programmed buy-fucking-everything-to-fill-that-hole-inside mentality.
Bankruptcy debt settlement are usually for a fraction of the stated amount. I’ve heard of families who have discharged over 100k of cc debt and only had to pay about 10k. Usually you will lose bigger assets like vehicles, but keep your home.
They’re junk though. You have to kick start them and they don’t have enough torque for anything but totally flat ground. Save your money and buy something else.
Or buy them in bulk at a massive discount to salvage batteries and motors.
Initially the price to use those scooters was like $0.50/min which was great when you had to go several blocks. Then Razor hit the market and beat the everliving hell out of all of those shitty Bird and Lime and Blue Duck scooters in terms of torque - you could actually just hit the throttle to move. Great! Then the price wars started. Except they didn’t go down. Every single scooter platform went up in price.
The last time I used one, it cost me more than $3/min. I was stunned. It would’ve cost me less to take an uber (and I could’ve brought multiple people with me for no additional cost!). No wonder these are going out of business. They have priced themselves out of the market.
At least I think Razor is going to stick around because they’re vertically integrated.
Yikes - I wonder how his sycophants would respond to wide spread posts that he has bit it.
… I actually wonder if the graphics cards could multiplex across multiple dp to a single display.
