I don’t think so. Canada does have similar services through some banks, IIRC.

This is why I use Privacy.com. Never use your credit card to go bareback on stuff like memberships or subscriptions. You can still cancel ahead of time, but if they put up any fight, you can walk away at any time.
Nintendo, patreon, bluehost, linkedin premium, adobe and Spectrum. Fuck all of y’all. Your dark patterns hose people.
Wow, if I was a customer, I’d be dropping them immediately even if I didn’t pirate. That is sketchy as hell.
I want us to build a massive collider in New Mexico. There’s a bunch of land around Black Mesa that could probably house a massive underground collider. The US needs a big one!
Today, someone jumped over the construction barriers on an escalator that was under construction. They fell into the open hole in the escalator, got seriously hurt, and then had the audacity to complain to metro police officers that there was a hole in the escalator for some reason. The police had the grace to not admonish him for being a moron. Both ends were blocked with construction barriers ~4.5 feet high by 3.5 feet deep, and the elevator was right by them, lol. It was very difficult for someone to even vault over in the first place.
If this is Sea-Tac, the rails are completely walled off. Doors open onto the tram only when it arrives. Everything else is walled off, like an elevator.
Sea-tac?
Even some domestic brands like Juiced go on sale for like, $1,200 for a Juiced Ripracer. Aventon appears to make good stuff too, if you want bike shop support. I’ve had my bike for a month and put 320 miles on it. Fun little bike :)
194 nautical miles isn’t terribly far, though. For port to port, sure. For oceanic shipping, I don’t think 194 is going to cut it. I think we will probably have to do SMRs or efuels to really cut cargo ship and cruise ship emissions when crossing the Pacific or Atlantic. Though I don’t know where nuclear powered shipping (in non-military applications) is in terms of progress.
Interesting, I might look into that! Thanks.
I like my Kobo, but wish it had a bit better of a storefront. I want to get my books from more than just the kobo store. Overdrive support is nice. It sometimes loses my page just like a real book, ironically.
Still, I find myself still letting it collect dust due to it’s limited storefront and long book checkout times at the library. Physical books and newspapers are a bit bigger and stable software-wise.
I really wish epaper displays were more common. It’s a really cool technology. I’d love an inexpensive epaper monitor or maybe an alarm clock?
Some devices cannot use Bluetooth audio devices, or it’s buggy or laggy af. I don’t mind wireless buds for the gym, but they sound worse and die before a flight across the US is complete. Wired headsets so don’t have to be charged, or if they do have ANC, its usually a replacable battery instead of a rechargeable battery.
I dunno if it’s just my Fold 4, but when I ride the train or visit an apartment, I get bombarded by pairing requests from Bose headphones and other bluetooth devices like home speakers. It’s probably some setting that Samsung quietly flipped on in a recent patch, but it’s really annoying. Fuck off, 𝙳𝚊𝚟𝚎’𝚜 𝙱𝚘𝚜𝚎 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚎𝚝𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚝 𝟺𝟻 𝙷𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚙𝚑𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚜, I don’t need pairing notifications every 10 seconds.
Acidic soil + UV, for sure.
It’s a chastity cage, so one can’t use their dick. Something used in various kink scenes. Typically they are made of plastic, dunno if a metal one is a good idea if you need to take it off, haha.
I’ve heard that a lot of countries still have a bunch of legacy infrastructure that was on the older standards too, worldwide. Studd like the widths of plumbing pipes and such. I think the digital era is probably the easiest time to convert. When I drive across the border, the change to metric is effortless on a digital car. Same for basically everything else, 24h time, temperature, etc.
They are very cute :)
What’s app is also Facebook.
So facebook, threads, What’sapp, Instagram are all FB owned lol. They need to be broken up for being that huge.
Kinda looks like candy. Some sort of saltwater taffy. When I was a kid, there was a machine that stretched it, and it kinda looked like the lava chunks :)
I’m honestly a bit surprised that we don’t have mandatory dimmers installed in all major buildings that turn off the lights after X hour or x number of hours without any movement.
That, and motion sensors and dimmers on street lights with shades on them to prevent light from being blasted into people’s homes and apartments.
This much light pollution can’t be healthy.
I don’t believe so, because it never reaches your credit card. You spoof your credit card with a fake number. It can make the payments to privacy. Privacy hands the money to the sketchy client.
It’s basically a self-imposed Man-in-the-middle attack.
Ehen you destroy the man in the middle, your bank and the sketchy client have no means of communicating or can even “see” each other. Your money goes to privacy first.
