You might be interested in projects like https://openhab.org, or https://mycroft.ai
I have tinkered with mycroft in the past and it was kinda finnicky at the time, but overal a great idea(an assistant like google or alexa but privacy oriented). A colleague of mine uses openhab for everything but security(his wife objected to that lol).
For starters i’d recommend some single board computer like the a raspberrypi, a speaker and a microphone and maybe try one of these (https://www.electromaker.io/blog/article/9-best-raspberry-pi-smart-home-software-options) out yourself.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
“So you don’t want do go out with a boom?”
The one first things i was gifted when i moved out was a propper tea pot. I don’t know what i’d do without it :D
Yeah probably. It seems Germany is a coffee nation. Drinking tea at work im the odd one out. Most supermarkets only sell packets of the most popular brand of 20 or if your lucky 50. Loose tea from a tea shop is weirdly enough usually cheaper (per weight)…
That’s interessting and kinda makes sense. The tea in tea bags is usually the lowest quality and should be cheaper. But in german supermarkets the teabags cost way more than loose tea and are even more expensive than tea from a tea shop. Might just be because most only sell expensive brands and don’t have no name bags tho
Do i shit gold? Who the fuck buys tea in bags?
You pay at least 10x as much and produce a ton of waste in the process…
With 180-200km/h delta you couldn’t possibly judge the traffic situation, let alone react in time. I think you meant 100km/h difference, right?
But even with a delta of “only” 100km/h the distance between cars shrinks by about 30m per seconds. Even with optimal visibility and full attention on the road this gives you a couple seconds at best to correctly assess the situation. Then you can only punch the brakes and hope you remain in controll over your vehicle.
Imho there is no justification to allow PKW move that fast. At those speeds you not only your life but that of others as well.
And i haven’t even touched on the environmental impact and fuel efficiency of high speeds.
I have a yubikey and use their pam-module for 2FA on sudo and ssh. Took a bit of time to configure, but now it works like charm: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/YubiKey#Linux_user_authentication_with_PAM
Kinda shitty?
