In markdown, there is the notation []() for links. Reddit allowed it too for examples, and generally a lot of programs and platforms that have mild text formatting use markdown.
[some text](https://example.org/some-link) will turn into some text

Lemmy has basically extended this with ![]() which shows the content of the link
 will turn into

Where did that “some text” go? It’s basically the placeholder for when the image is loading or failed to load, the correct term is the alt-text.

It has no alt text. Any frontent that has an image upload button or similar will upload the image somewhere, take the link, and put it into your post like this.

I hope your frontend renders code-blocks and escapes with backslash (\) correctly, else this may look weird to you.

Archive is for old versions not old apps. As in if you don’t wanna fiddle with versions you have no reason to enable the repo.

Yeah. It uses google ad-mob, or if you purchase it needs the google play store app to verify that and deactivate ad-mob.
A way to purchase it without going through gplay would fix this, and probably means it could be published on fdroid in a premium-only version at least. I’ve been meaning to ask @rmayayo@lemmy.world about the feasibility of that for a while now. Hallstein was a member of several nominally Nazi professional organizations, but he was not a member of the Nazi Party or of the SA. He is reputed to have rejected Nazi ideology and to have kept his distance from the Nazis. There was opposition from Nazi officials to his proposed appointment, in 1941, as professor of law at the University of Frankfurt, but the academics pushed through his candidacy, and he soon advanced to become dean of the faculty.

Hallstein began his academic career in the 1920s Weimar Republic and became Germany’s youngest law professor in 1930, at the age of 29. During World War II he served as a First Lieutenant in the German Army in France. Captured by American troops in 1944, he spent the rest of the war in a prisoner-of-war camp in the United States, where he organised a “camp university” for his fellow soldiers.
