Edit: At first I thought the joke was related to those “who did 9/11” memes that I see all the time on the internet, but only afterwards did I realize the date is actually 9/11 (hadn’t seen any posts online about it yet and we don’t talk about it at all in Brazil)

I’ve seen some people on Twitter complain that their coworkers use ChatGPT to write emails or summarize text. To me this just echoes the complaints made by previous generations against phones and calculators. There’s a lot of vitriol directed at anyone who isn’t staunchly anti AI and dares to use a convenient tool that’s avaliable to them.

One of the community notes on the post said it was posted the day before by another account, and an AI image detector flagged it as AI with 90% confidence.

Musk using an AI image to fantasize about being some badass cowboy is both pathetic and absolutely expected lol

lmao no wonder something looked so off to me, the HD verision makes it even clearer that it’s AI-generated, even more so considering the website it came from.

Interestingly enough even the larger image on the original website fooled most of the AI image detectors, with only one of them (isitai.com) just barely saying that the image is probably AI-generated, while all the others said with >90% confidence that it wasn’t.

I can only speculate that all of these detectors are outdated and were trained with older AI-generated images that were easier to detect.

This just screams “Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow” even though apparently it doesn’t actually have anything to do with him lol

And I was really suspicious that this was AI-generated but apparently it’s real? /shrug

This is a bad habit of mine lol

I made a video a while back on the topic of political violence which I intended to be only like 5min long, but actually turned into 30 minutes as I researched more and came across more stuff I wanted to discuss on this subject.

I’m doing the same thing now as I’m writing an article on the Cass Review which is already 20 pages long and I’m probably gonna go over 30. I have two pages dedicated entirely to discussing only one of the items of the modified Newcastle-Ottawa Scale that some of the systematic reviews used, and I decided to leave it there because if I were to discuss all of the items in detail I could write three times more.

Not my favorite community but I wish !writingprompts@lemmy.world had more engagement. It was really cool on Reddit and I wish it got more love here as well. I’d participate too but I can’t write for shit.
