We have this in Canada too. I see them littered all over the place. Its not terribly effective.
I jumped around a bunch and then went back to where I started. Ubuntu.
Why? Because I need something that works and I dont need to continually fiddle around with but I can still customize if I want to.
Does that make me a normie? Yup. Do I care? Nope.

Windows is designed for the average user and does very well in that regard. It prevents people with very little computer knowledge from totally messing things up.
Same in Canada. Every year we hear of at least one province debating privatizing healthcare as though thats gonna fix our problems and not just make it exponentially worse.
