It’s insufferable that the answer is always “build your own.” Lemmy assumes that every single person on the planet is an engineer with enough free time to design, build, and troubleshoot every device they own.

I’ve tried. Marge’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Most of the voice actors are so old they don’t sound like the characters at all anymore. At least they stopped doing the trendy celebrity guest of the week on every episode.
No one is recycling still-working cars after only 5 years. Unless you’re talking about insurance deciding to salvage a vehicle after a wreck, which is a different story. Even those don’t always get destroyed, some are parted out and some are probably shipped overseas to get a second life.
I don’t know if you are in a place where you can get CBD, but it really seems to help my dog when he has an upset stomach. It’s often the difference between sleeping through the night and getting up every hour so he can go eat grass outside. A lot of pet stores sell it.
I bet he’d take offense to being called anything but a capitalist though.
If you tell a job you have savings, they’re going to think you’ll just leave the job whenever you want. They don’t want that. They want dependable workers, as in, the workers depend on the job to live.
I think the meme format is confusing. It looks like murderers are trying to stop landlords from going after people who use the term… or both murderers and landlords are afraid of people who use the term? Idk, I had to read the comments to understand what you meant.
Anyone can build off-grid if they want to, as long as they purchase their land and pay property tax. OP admitted to being mostly libertarian, so I think they’re really just complaining about taxes. I personally think libertarianism is a slippery slope to anarchism, because taxes are what pay for roads, police, firefighters, etc.
Their whole stance is bizarre. It would be like if I believed every country should be democratic, but if any non-democratic foreigner asked me about it I said, “well I’m not going to even talk to you until you’ve read every bit of democratic theory, and even if you do, I’m not going to admit or discuss any criticism of democracy. Also, you are evil for just being born in your evil country.” They can’t possibly expect to convert anyone that way.
They also allowed overcrowding. You could basically put a Subway right next to another Subway if you wanted. 3-4 in a single neighborhood. Corporate does not care if the franchisees make any money.
