Also though that 50k side effects is vague, what did the sign mean? A side effect can be a mild headache or rash, which I would imagine is the majority of those cases. A 99% rate for any medicine is incredible

This guy in my city had anti vaxx banners and signs. One said “50k+ Canadians suffered side effects from the COVID vaccine!”

So I looked up how many people were vaccinated in Canada, and 50k was below 1% of the people vaccinated. I pointed out to the guy that this means the vaccine had a success rate without side effects of 99% and how incredible that is. Dude got pissed at me and started yelling that I was a shill.

Recently a cop died in my city. The news was like “officer died on duty while responding to a robbery”.

Turns out the fat ass died of a heart attack in his cruiser while parked outside.

Now the city police is painting him as a fallen hero who deserves a state funeral paid by us. Meanwhile I lost 5 of my coworkers during COVID, working at a hospital. Nobody lowered a flag or gave them so much as a mention in the newspaper

Edit: Nolan can’t film anything but drama. Go watch Batman again and notice how awful the fight scenes are shot and the terrible choreography.

Jesus that sounds so demeaning. I haven’t had to apply for a job in about 15 years now. All networking, and I was poached and offered my current job. Union now, so I’m set. I don’t remember having to jump through so many hoops when I was younger and applying for a job, but recently I passed by a Wendy’s and there must have been 50 people lined up outside with resumes because there was a job posting. That many people for one burger job, that’s hard times.
