I would argue that they go hand in hand. It would be more nonsensical to be an anarchist who apologizes for capitalist constructs like intellectual property, and the idea that you need to pay or ask permission to someone to access or use pixels.
Just your average Enby Mushroom Girl thing Ze/Zir pronouns please.
I don’t use honorifics. Please use just my name when referring to me in a situation you would use them.

Anything image or video generation is extremely hard to train ethically
And that’s where the difference between liberalism and anarchism show. Intellectual Property isn’t real. Ethically training your own models in anarchist philosophy means not including CSAM, Revenge porn, or anything else disgusting like that, anything available is yours to use as you see fit.
Using other people’s copyrighted content is not theft anymore than pirating movies is theft. We aren’t here to serve other’s capitalist desires and fantasies. That includes paying for or asking for permission to use pixels.

There is nothing capitalist about rolling your own models which is what we do here, but hey. You just gave a great example of how anti-AI people don’t like to let reality get in the way of a good narrative.

Intellectual Property is not a consideration for anarchists. Maybe it is for liberals but anarchists do not often suffer from liberal thoughts. If we do we work to improve ourselves and stop having them.

I wish there was one. I probably would’ve joined that. dbzer0 is pretty good though, very queer accepting.

I may have been a bit hyperbolic calling Germany a ‘police state’ at the same time not exactly since places where you can be arrested for non-violent speech are not far off from police states. Some people don’t believe it’s that bad but I’ve heard horror stories of these laws being used against people the government disagrees with. That has happened and will happen again.
I already got banned for criticizing Germany, I don’t want to get banned for defending them as well! ;)
Unless you’re defending or justifying Germany’s legislated Zionism that’s unlikely. Rule 2 doesn’t forbid people from defending Germany it only forbids defending Zionism, Zionist practices, Zionist laws, which can in some cased be thought of as defending Germany. CyberEgg certainly thought so, but he quickly started accusing me of genocide and antisemitism when I pointed out the comment he was banned for so…

They’re separate because at the moment there’s a lot of people who are intentionally or unintentionally confusing Anti-Zionist movements with antisemitism. Antisemitism is hate speech and bigotry which is banned under rule 1. Zionism and it’s corresponding genocide denial is also hate speech but is separated into its own rule for clarity and to also make it clear that polite or “civil” Zionism isn’t welcome either. That’s where we get the people arguing that ‘you should feel hypocritical for supporting Greta Thunberg because [Something Anti-Zionist she said]’.
I don’t think you should defend him. Integrating spam defense is a cover to censor his ideological opponents. The best lie is the one wrapped in truth. You shouldn’t frame any of what he did as being for good reasons. He hid it from the rest of us, made it look like an error message, and took steps to stop people from patching it out.
That’s no what someone with good intentions does. That’s what someone who knows it’s wrong but tries to hide it does. Including spam domains in it can be seen as a way of hiding the rotten stuff and it gives trolls like him something to point at when it gets criticized “It’s a spam blocklist, you must be a freeze peach troll if you’re against that”.
This is giving him too much charitability:
