Yeah.
Annecdotaly, Dropout.tv has a good number of LGBTQ employees, seems conscious not to shit on people, and has a growing library of stand up.

Why would Microsoft fire an employee for holding a vigil, it’s not like they …
…called “No Azure for Apartheid”
Oh. Thanks for drawing attention to this, Microsoft! I appreciate that they’re so willing to invoke the Streisand Effect.
And I hope those employees land somewhere where they build something that costs Microsoft a lot of profit.
I’m going to be switching to Linux before Win 10 is end of life, and there are so many more options than there were in the early 2000’s.
Fedora isn’t my distro of choice, but I can confirm it’s an excellent no-nonsense choice. It gets the job done with minimal fuss.
But one of those is a community of people banded together for mutual aid to protect their basic rights and the other…oh…I see what you did there.
Lol. Take my angry up vote.
More people should figure this out. Star Trek is essential to a healthy media diet.
I also recommend a regular dose of stand-up comedy.
Recall is a database Microsoft (wants to) build that records the screen every moment you use your computer (yes, including the embarrassing stuff).
It does this to better help you with suggestions.
It’s going to end a lot of relationships in a very graphic pornographic ways, I expect.
But a few people will be delightfully (and graphically) surprised that their partner is also into their kink.
But most importantly, all data that gets stored eventually gets breached to someone who shouldn’t have it.
So we expect to hear a lot more about (and experience a lot more) blackmail (alongside ransomware and financial crimes) in the next ten years.
I’ve started to do this as well, simply so they feel like I’m engaged with the conversation.
It’s funny, lately they start to realize how much nicer my computer (experience) is than theirs.
I’m thankful my inner daemons use IRC.
…
I’ll just see myself out now.
Some people just want to watch the world burn.
I salute your evil mind.
gimp doesn’t work on wayland
Ouch. It works for me on Debian 12 and Wayland 47.
I like Krita way better, anyway, now, though.
sucks your mum died; maybe it was from the shame of you using Adobe products
I would never say that to anyone. Lol.
But I would probably wear it on a t-shirt.
After decades of hearing how bad that film is, I finally broke down and watched it.
The incredible terrible reputation that precedes it doesn’t even remotely do justice to how very very bad it is.
But also, it has Tor in it. That’s pretty cool.
Yep! It worked for me!
Yes, a degrading phone case can do that.
Yeah. An elephant won’t stay crisp in the egg compartment.
Yep. I think high quality Internet roll-out will make or break some of these plans.
Yeah. Seems pointless, but I bet they’re trying to attract folks with work-from-home jobs.
There’s a big migration of work-from-home folks out to areas where they can have bigger homes, gardens and such.
I think the theory is that whichever towns or cities attract these folks first will grow into long term preferred work-from-home destinations, using the tax revenue and voting habits of the first folks to move in.
It’s a gamble, but an interesting one.
You’re not just being paranoid.
By my read, Roku just changed their terms of service (this year) to allow them to report back to their partners what I watch from other services and my home Network server.
So I don’t use Roku devices anymore, myself.
Kodi is the (most obvious) Raspberry Pi project that can do a decent job replacing Smart TV appliances.
That said, your smart TV, itself, is probably too lazy to include a 5G antenna to phone home. So you can probably just never give it Wifi credentials, and be fine.
If you’ve given it Wifi credentials, and didn’t read the terms of service, I can save you some time - if you didn’t buy it in the EU, it’s spying on you in nearly every imaginable way.
