I just tried double-tapping an image, and it does zoom in considerably, though that’s a vast improvement over when zooming was so restricted in Jerboa that I couldn’t zoom enough to read the text in screenshots and other images. (I’ve always pinched though, so I guess I have more control over the zoom level.)
