  • Absolutely. Numbers have power too. If you happen to be around when this happens do not let the eyes of those around you turn the other way.

Everyone is waiting for someone to say something. But no one has said anything so we all think “well, I guess I don’t know the whole story because no one ELSE is doing anything”. It’s quite a well documented human group behavior.

You need to be that first voice. You need to shake everyone else out of that thought. Because you know exactly what it is. It’s scary to be that first or second person to speak up.

But another well documented human behavior is that when someone goes to help, others join in, they get shaken out of their “freeze” and decide to fight.

Our society isn’t broken enough yet for people not to care when someone is being kidnapped. They just need you to call it what it is.

Just keep calling “ICE” liars. If they try to say they are federal agents just keep saying they are lying. Do everything to delay until you have enough support to make them feel afraid. Again, they are Nazis. They are not brave. They are scared little losers. Don’t let them feel safe to get out of their black vans.

  • I get what you mean. But, materially, there is not much of a difference. You should absolutely do everything in your power to stop or resist them.

They are Nazis with a badge or Nazis without a badge. That badge doesn’t change what should be done to them by anyone that sees them. They should not feel safe getting out of their van. There are more of us. Get organized and be ready to be that 2nd or 3rd or 4th random stranger that is brave enough to standup to them.

Nazi’s aren’t brave. They are wimpy little losers. That’s why they are Nazis. Don’t let them feel safe anywhere they go.

  • Not really the same. Charging for this would discourage people from using it. They have to make a choice on feeling safe vs. spending money.

This gives everyone the option and subsidizes it to the entire community.

This is exactly why socializing things like this is beneficial.

Every service has a cost. That cost is the value of the labor being provided. But we decide as a society that providing services like this benefits everyone living in society. Regardless of if they use it directly or not.

When people say “free” in this context that’s what they mean. They mean the decision based on personal finance is removed.

We don’t want people choosing personal finance over safety or health. Removing that dependency benefits everyone.

I don’t know why but “Bear Share” became a joke between me and my friends. It was like we made fun of one kid for using it instead of whatever we were using at the time. I don’t remember why but that’s all I remember about it. Makes me laugh now. Joking with one of our friends about what P2P client was the best.

Off the top of my head others I remember were: Kazaa, Morpheus, Frostwire (when limewire went to shit). I’d say Kazaa was the one I used the most though during its time. Moved to torrents for movies/tv shows pretty quickly and limewire/frostwire for mp3s. Piratebay, ISOHunt, Demonoid (god i was so happy getting an invite there at 13 years old), mininova.

I was an addict. Would download shit I didn’t need and just use it because. Literally spent years learning how to animate in 3dsMax just because my brother in law told me that he “stole” a program that cost thousands of dollars. I think the keygen I downloaded for that was actually my first “letter” from Comcast. It scared the shit out of me at 14.

I think it’s a good example of how vastly over hyped a lot of AI stuff is though. Any person could tell that that was a wall from hundreds of feet away. You can even tell in the video and it would be more obvious in real life with actual depth perception.

The entire problem with AI are corner cases. This is just taking that corner case to an absurd level. But it’s not much different than the real world case of a Tesla vehicle getting confused on a highway if a billboard ad has a stop sign on it.
