Yeah cuz if you did you’d be forced to drop the victim narrative you appear to be emotionally dependent on

25·2 days agoHow do you ping a location update? I’ve tried sending the hidden sms that’s supposed to do is but it only seems to work about 25% of the time, and I have to run the actual location check like 3-4 minutes later
i havent even looked at the blocklist tbh but my position is that insisting you have the right to force your speech upon someone else when they have made it extremely clear they wish to block you is just reprehensible behavior in my book. “No means no”! But it especially means no when someone is telling you to leave them alone like they did.
you are not being silenced. someone blocking you on the internet is not an attack on you, you are not a victim, and it does not give you the right to attack someone else
like i said if you want to choose to view that as evidence of secret conspiracy or whatever that’s totally fine with me, I don’t but also I’m not the one pretending im under attack because someone else on the internet doesn’t like me
people are allowed to block us and find us annoying! im sorry but it’s true. We can choose to let it bother us and go around wallowing in self pity, but most people dont want to be around someone like that so again the fact that you ended up blocked should not be a surprise.
that link looks very clear and posted in the pubic repo to me but yeah dude like i said if you want to imagine that someone else blocking you is somehow an attack then you certainly have that right but the only person you’re hurting is yourself
Edited for clarity
Yeah it’s not for me either, but I also believe that people have a right to not have other’s speech or behavior forced upon them, which is kind of exactly what ActivityPub was created to facilitate and what separates it from corporate platforms.
how mature
golly I wonder how you ended up on a blocklist lol
nah it was very clear and posted to a public repo but if you want to see yourself as a victim of some conspiracy I can’t stop you
no deal
I don’t consider an optional ui used by optional instances with an optional and clearly labeled feature that enables an optional GUI toggle that allows users to control a filter that does not actually ban anyone to be “malware”
hey please dont call me a loser
-
The full list with detailed explanations is available publicly in the GitHub repo.
-
The “toxic mode” toggle is visible in the tesseract GUI along with another explanation of what it does
-
Tesseract is not a default Lemmy UI, an instance admin has to manually add it in order for it to be accessible.
-
Tesseract’s toxic mode filter does not ban anyone
-
Instance admins are not forced to use Tesseract
-
Users are not forced to use an instance that provides Tesseract as an option
-
Users are not forced to enable the toxic mode filter on instances that have the toggle enabled
-
We are all free to block whomever we please on our own accounts
-
Admins are free to ban whomever they please from their instances that they own
-
We do not get to decide who gets banned from other peoples instances
-
We do not get to decide what other people read
-
Other people do not owe you or I an explanation of why they do the things they do in their free time
-
We do not get to control what other people create in their free time
-
hey wait thought blocklists were evil
you dont know me
I’m the developer I’m evil you cant stop me from blocking you muahah
they did

Not sure maybe
