Yeah it’d be a similar reaction if Jasmine & Aladdin were recast as northern Europeans. Sure it’s a fantasy tale, but the story is set in a fantasy version of Arabia.

Those 5 requirements are not small things, but as a (relatively) recent linux migrant, here’s my take.

1. Keep using iTunes (but use the windows version) - through wine. You get to keep all your stuff as is for now with the possibility of migrating to another service in the future.

2. See above, stick with your current device, keep using iTunes for now.

3. If it’s for private stuff LibreOffice suite does just fine though + the thunderbird email client. If it’s for work you should probably have a work device, but there is also winapps for linux, which isn’t official by microsoft, so it might be a bit funky.

4. Maybe try out proton if you want something trustworthy to back up your photos. They’ve recently added a service for that. Costs a subscription though.

5. Keep using evernote. There’s a linux client.

Obviously there will be hickups, and things’d be a lot more smooth if you were willing to make some adjustments, but this is perfectly doable.

Indeed, that’s why Hydro assets are generally already used to the greatest possible extent. Nuclear is needed to supplement that baseline power. The problem is with Variable Renewable Energy (VRE) not renewables as a whole.

The moment that it’s possible to donate directly towards the development of firefox, there’s roughly 10€/yr with their name on it. As it stands however, Mozilla is not funding FF at all, but rather extracting money from the project.

As I’ve previously elaborated on in a comment in reply to a similar statement - this has less to do with being anti-islam and more to do with being anti-religion. The French have had a long history with organized religion.

Participation in the EU election in Sweden was at a record low - just above 50%, which is amongst the worst in Europe. IMO that’s a serious warning flag.

Whilst the sum total of crimes has fallen, the amount of serious violent crime has significantly increased and in some categories to never-before seen levels in Swedish history (bombings for instance).

In these statistics I would highlight murders, organised crime, threats and attempts to influence society, threats and harassment, weapon crimes, sex crimes and vandalism.

To be fair - a whole month of anything is excessive

In all fairness, it’s not exactly something people talk about - and for the record, I’ve never ended up paying any interest on the card. It’s just convenient, offering a layer of protection for charges, makes it easier for me to track spendings, and allows me to be earning interest on my paycheck by keeping it in a savings account until I need to balance the CC.
