Yeah, GIF is an extremely old format and rarely used these days. You just still see files being called “.gif”, even though they’re APNG or MP4 or something else under the hood.

I imagine, you guys might be measuring with two different scales. Early Windows versions were fine, but even back then, a switch to Linux would give you so much more customizability to actually make it yours.
This is a dumb anecdote, but I switched to Linux from Windows 8, and pretty much the first thing I did, was to figure out how to hide the window titlebars. Mostly because I realized, I could, but they also just took screen space away on my laptop.
Wikipedia tells me:
This plasma mostly consists of electrons, protons and alpha particles
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_wind
Alpha particles also get created by radioactive alpha decay, so I’m guessing, that’s the radioactive part…
I guess, it would be this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_percussion_instrument
Yeah, has happened for me multiple times, too, since installing 0.0.67.
I’m guessing, this happens when it loads new posts, but the order of the posts has changed on the server. Maybe something broke with how it keeps track of the cursor-thingy for the API?
Oh, I do want it shared. I just don’t want to be taken advantage of by immoral companies. That’s why I would share it under licenses like AGPLv3 or CC BY-NC-SA. In a sense, I’m very much blocking others from taking the free stuff I share and turning it into a commercial product, because I do feel the same as you.
Yeah, I’m genuinely feeling like I don’t want to publish things I create onto the internet, because these companies will gladly break laws to use it. Companies spent decades building up ridiculous copyright laws and when they go to violate those laws themselves, law enforcement fails.
Hey now, they do kill everyone equally. Whether you’re an LGBTQtie or nah.
I see you’re also from Germany, so I understand your roommate not knowing this is an option, but bidets are cheaper and do a better job cleaning.
Like, I bought a dumb travel bidet a while ago and even that’s a solid upgrade from scrubbing with toilet paper.
My bet is on beeswax for the non-vegan ingredient.
Hmm, okay, that seems more reasonable then. I didn’t know they had a recipe book built-in these days.
And well, at least you don’t need wolf armor, so even if you never find armadillos, it’s not a problem.
I’m not saying there shouldn’t be puzzles. I’m criticizing that this puzzle is impossible to solve.
No one will wish to protect their dog and then realize they need to place 6 armadillo scutes in a chair-like pattern into a crafting grid.
Some might try to brute-force crafting patterns with armadillo scutes, but that is not fun.
And just looking up what to do with armadillo scutes, that is not fun either.
Right, I even forgot about horse armor. That’s been in there for a while, but I’d remove that item, too. I have been doing Minetest, so that’s probably where all the opinions come from. 😅
I mean, I can get behind that. It doesn’t increase gameplay complexity and people enjoy having their doggos in different colors.
But adding a whole new mob and items for one specific niche purpose, that increases complexity quite a bit. New players will have no idea what to do with the armadillo drops, without looking it up or being told by that AI narrator thing, I guess.
I did not keep up with Minecraft over the years, only just looked into this now, but yeah, this seems so arbitrary. There’s a mob (armadillos), then an intermediate item (armadillo scutes) and the only usage for that is crafting wolf armor.
Whatever happened to not having a million different items? Like, that’s pretty much game design 101, to combine mechanics where possible. They could have allowed equipping a leather body armor on a wolf for the same gameplay mechanic.
But it really does look like they wanted to add some animal for the publicity and then needed to shoehorn any purpose at all for it.
Oh goshdarnit, I was so confused why they made the wolf fur this weird salmon/brick color. Apparently, that’s an armadillo shell…? They really turned Minecraft into modded Minecraft, didn’t they?
Man, can you imagine? You’ve written your paper. You generate the LLM-justified version and proof-read it all the way through. But then you realize, you still need to add one more info to your opening paragraph. The LLM will rewrite your entire paper once again and you get to proof-read it another time. 🫠
To my knowledge, it’s a name that came out of the free software / GNU movement. So, “hackers” as in clever problem solvers, not those that break into insecure systems.
It’s a format published by Google without much industry input. I imagine, that’s why it isn’t seeing terribly much adoption.
AVIF and JPEG-XL might do better, but they’re still relatively young formats.
