A geologist and archaeologist by training, a nerd by inclination - books, films, fossils, comics, rocks, games, folklore, and, generally, the rum and uncanny… Let’s have it!

Accident it is then.
Yeah, I was pondering if it’d be possible to make it less of an issue. I presume the metal of the discs and chain is pretty thin, so you could get to work with tin snips, a file and some needle-nose pliers. Take them off, rework some and hang them back up. However, a) I’m not sure it could be done satisfactorily and b) that sounds like a lot of hassle for some, hopefully, cheap knickknack, so I’d probably just make it have an accident.
Turn them round.
You could try looking back through !horrormovies@lemm.ee but a couple of recent posts:
The Bumper Book of Magic has been in the pipeline that a number of contributors are dead but the novel he is promoting now is the first in a series, we already know the name of the next one.
He effectively retired from writing comics in mid-2019 but signed a book deal with Bloomsbury for his short story collection and the five novel series we are starting to get. At the time he declared himself to be “bursting with fiction”. I’m not aware of anything that suggests he is ready to throw the towel in quite yet. In fact, he seems reinvigorated.

I definitely will. Should be a blast.
We haven’t had a chance to see it live yet, but someday we will.
I’m old and have been watching wrestling since I was little but this is my first live show, not sure why it has taken so long (although a local promotion opening up in the last year helped).
That’s dedication to the squared circle, I’m off to a suitably horror-themed show on the 30th October.
Solid 8/10 from me.
Samara Weaving has chosen her projects well - Mayhem is also great fun.
Welcome onboard - The Babysitter is great. Not such a slasher fan myself but I’m always up for zombies, comedy horror, cosmic horror, gore and a healthy dose of body horror. If you can mix some of those together then happy days.
Only following your lead. 👍
There’s an active sub, so it has potential but does nerd everyone pitching in.
Although it’s open source, so anyone can contribute, the original developers are Chinese (it seems to default to the simplified character set, so not Hong Kong). It’s been going for a while but has only popped up on a lot of people’s radars as it got English-language documentation.
My best shot at a name: AllDB
It’s probably cooler in Chinese.
I did Google “closest brothels to Canada” and it seems like there are plenty in Canada. Apparently, while it is illegal to buy sex, police don’t enforce this as they have plenty of actual crimes to be keeping themselves busy with.
So, if it means so much to the OP, they should save up their pennies and go somewhere like Vancouver.
Fun fact: just because something is illegal doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
I’d have definitely had a lot less fun if I’d steered clear if anything that breaks the law.
Weird news:
I’ve declined the opportunity to Mod a community on lemmy.ml, which is really not like me.
