I know it’s the angle and I know I’ve seen this image at some point in the past and I’ve seen it correctly, but for some reason the chair legs on the near side are totally fucked and my brain won’t accept them.

Through my teenage years I got wrapped up in an evangelical environment, but as an adult found my way to a non- denominational church. It was eye opening. The more I talked to the pastor, learned and read, I realized that people get wrapped up in their denominations like sports teams. And since the different denominations come about because of different interpretations of Scripture and the “rules” some group puts into place for their team, no wonder it’s the perfect environment for creating a culture of control and abuse for those seeking power.

This doesn’t make me not believe in God, this makes me not trust the motivations of people in power. On the day to day, I try to be the best I can to people around me, and share love, kindness, and respect. That’s my big take away from Jesus’ teachings at least.

Since birth our brains are wired to look for faces. It helps with survival when the helpless wiggly thing bonds with the giant who is full of hormones telling them to protect it.

As we grow we learn to recognize other patterns, which help us find food, be safe, find a mate, etc. Our brains are constantly looking to match everything we see with something from a previous experience. Which is unfortunately one of the places PTSD can pop up. Say you had a traumatic experience - you may not remember seeing someone wearing a red hat just prior to something terrible happening, but your brain might. In the aftermath it’s possible that you find yourself uncomfortable around someone wearing a red hat but can’t figure out why. You may not remember, but your brain does and thinks it’s helping by alerting you too a problem.

Weighted blankets can help with the transition too!

You know how many smokers have/had their hard line on what price would make them quit smoking? For me (a 52yo woman) that was when pop breached $5.99 a 24 pack case. I would buy it again occasionally if sale prices dipped into that range, but having crossed that line it broke my habit. The thought of $7 for a 12 pack is just painful.

You’re on the right track, but not quite there.

You’re right that rare steak is ok because the outside surface has been cooked killing external contaminants. But the contaminants in chicken can exist throughout the meat, therefore it needs to be brought to temp all the way through.

One of the more common fixtures in American coffee drinking homes is a drip brewer. It pours hot water over a basket of grounds into a glass carafe which sits on a heating element to keep it warm.

Personally, I dislike the taste and never drink that much coffee. I use a Clever Dripper to make my one large cup before work, drink it, and go. Depending on my mood or time available I might make an espresso based drink, but my Clever otherwise meets my daily needs.

For marketability, it’s horrendous. While I’m open to dramatic, unique, and off the wall stuff it’s still not my taste.

BUT! I would absolutely take advantage of the discount I’d get on the property after it’s spent over a year on the market. I also wouldn’t be in a rush to remodel, but would look for ways to highlight it till the novelty wore off.

An irritating number of companies make it inconvenient to just view a menu, and want you to “Start your order!” to see prices and availability. I get that certain items are regional so entering a zip code makes sense, but if I just want to look at a menu and prices to see if I even want to do business with them I shouldn’t have to create an account.

That said, for convenience purposes I’ll occasionally order food online or over the phone so it’s ready by the time I’m driving past on my way home and pick it up.

It blows my mind that the whole anti-inflammatory market is just a bunch of pain relievers. WHERE DOES MY PAIN GO!?
