  • “God created Eve from ’aḥat miṣṣal‘otaiv (אַחַת מִצַּלְעֹתָיו‎), traditionally translated as “one of his ribs”. The term can mean curve, limp, adversity and side.”, per Wikipedia

Different sources somehow use different words, so I’m curious what the actual words were.

Not an actual argument from your point, as it can still be translated as side, but the video and all other instances I can find differ on the actual words used.

But this is why language context matters, a word being able to be used in multiple ways muddies the waters of intention when viewed from a perspective of 2500 years later.

It’s not that some hobbies are based on exclusivity or even some other hipster rationalization, but there definitely is a period where a shit load of new people come in, read half a wiki page, then proceed to argue and talk down to people who have been at it for years. It ruins communities if the audience widens too much at once. I’ve been online long enough to have seen it happen multiple times.

Capitalism is too broad of a term to make any type of useful argument. Democratic socialism is still a capitalist way of doing things when it’s miles apart from corporatism. Both still fall under Capitalism umbrella, however one is definitely worse than the other.

Ultimately, commerce will never cease, resources will always cost, etc. Just update your terminology and you’ll find much more reception to your point.
