  • 'The Grapes of Wrath, huh?’

'Yes’ I said, faking composure. ‘It’s fantastic.’

‘It’s a fantastic primer for vacuous proto-Communists everywhere,’ she said dismissively.

    ‘I don’t know about that…’

She sighed. ‘I don’t have enough ink in my pen to keep a running list of what you don’t know. May I?’

    Definitely on point.

Speaking of, she’s been very quiet during Trump 2.0. What’s she up to these days? And does she still return to that farmers market longing for the one who got away?

This also reminds me of that theory that Kelly Ann Conway took the job in Trump’s first administration as part of some weird kink game her and her husband were secretly playing while pretending to be disgusted with each other.

Edit: (2 hours ago)ANN COULTER: The phones are trying to kill us!

  • The whole approach to how they’re encouraging men to live life is so sad, not just for whoever is unfortunate enough to end up as their partner, but for the men too.

Like the belief that reproduction is the only reason to have a partner. You’re not even supposed to enjoy spending time with the person you choose as your partner is just such a toxic expectation for everyone involved.

Behind the Bastards is currently covering Himmler, and learning about his “3 types of women” and his eventual policy shift against traditional marriage and towards polygamy (and as a consequence increased birth rates) makes me think the toxic nonsense Ben Shapiro and Andrew Tate peddle probably isn’t too far away from just openly pivoting to something similar.

It’s far beyond even the stupid 1950’s “I hate my wife” trope. You just shouldn’t want to spend time with your partner except for intercourse. You should only want to hang out with other men at all times when not “intercoursing,” and If you do for some reason find yourself enjoying spending time with your partner, you’re less of a man.

And of course you never spend any time with your offspring bc that’s woman’s work. So what if you’re creating a world full of Elon Musks and Andrew Tates with each baby you pop out. Those guys turned out great right? Do they need therapy? God yes. Will they ever get therapy? Hell no!

Rinse and repeat the cycle for the next and all future generations. Again, just miserable for everyone involved.

It seems like brainwashing men to believe this weird shit now, is just the first step towards being able to continue to control them once the more extreme policy changes are implemented. For example, if you never really talk to your partner or view them as anything other than a human incubator, you’re not going to care or even listen to her complaints about her losing her own rights.

Since you don’t even really care about your partner or your kids, you’ll be ready to move on to a new partner and a whole new family in no time to just continue increasing those birthrates. Increased birthrates means there’s always an endless supply of soldiers ready to fight and die for their leaders. (Unless something like famine or disease wipes out a bunch of them, but thats not really your concern because frankly, worrying is a feminine trait. /s)

It’s really not that dissimilar to cults that split apart families bc the real familial relationship is a threat to the fake idea of family and belonging that a cult has to maintain to keep it’s members.

  • When you realize how low the bar is, you should never have imposter syndrome again. At this point the remaining federal government is only composed of Trump loyalists.

The claims of meritocracy replacing DEI are beyond ridiculous. How many campus shooters have ever just walked away like this? This was a high profile assassination. The fact that they still have not found the guy that did this, should let you know they either let this happen or they’re now just completely incompetent. I’m leaning towards the former, but the latter is definitely a possibility.

Anybody can just be handed power and control under this administration, no matter how unqualified. That is how the right has been operating for the last 25+ years. Literally that is why people keep joining this grift. If you’re willing to pledge loyalty, take advantage of people, and help destroy your own country, you can make bank.

The people that fund the right refuse to let a penny of their money go towards taxes to pay for public services, but they will literally throw absurd amounts of money at anything that promotes their agenda. They would pay somebody to publicly set their own money on fire, if it meant that person could convince a handful of people to keep voting Republican.

The really sad thing is, there is some truth to the left (or at least the Democratic party) becoming so comfortable being cemented in established norms and institutions, that they have managed to become exclusionary and made a big chunk of the U.S. feel alienated.

Like a lot of the institutions on the left have become what the Republican party was when the new right was first forming. Everybody “new” actually has connections to somebody already established in the party. They’re usually somebody’s kid, relative, or family friend, or they attended the same Ivy League and were recruited by somebody in the establishment.

I thought about asking how would state controlled media be able to publish anything about an image if it’s banned. Then I figured that’s pretty obvious, and didn’t want to ruffle any feathers. Should have known better than to try and go against the narrative. My bad.
