Because its intended and is part of a plan for how the worlds most important resources, like oil and fertilizer, is going to be limited in order to create massive problems in the world.

Maybe not compared to India or Asia but still hard, from a western point of view.

Also because growing up on social media made you compare with others all day long, and you realized you dont have the same options as the previous generation in your country.

Its because we are moving towards an economy now where humans will work for Ai in exchange for basic income. For that to happen, you cant have too many people who can opt out, so you need a poor population.

I hope at some point, Americans realize whats happening and starts getting rid of data centers and flock cameras and whatever else they are putting up to make this happen.

Or engage in politics if you believe that will help. There will be a lot of discussions and decisions about these data centers being built. They need a lot of them.

I think books are cool. Anyone who read books is a cool person and not yet lost to social media addiction. They can still be in the moment with themselves.

I had a period when I could not read a single page in a book because my mind was constantly wanting to use the phone instead. Many people are like that right now.

Special media needs to be called toxic media or something.

I think its horrible that so many things are happening to us from our own government. They are supposed to be on our side but that was long ago now.

Im watching YouTube with chromecast sometimes and its constant ads that just comes more and more often the more you watch a video. The entire service screams it wants me to stop watching. And I do, normally i just watch one or two videos and then the ads are too much. I get angry by the interruptions.

On ads i turn the volume down to zero and intentionally stare at the counter so I dont even know what ad they are playing. I hate them.

I think demos work. It was the entire reason i paid for planet crafter. I knew it was a fun game because of the free demo, and the demo let me play for several days so I got very hooked.
