I don’t get the joke.
It’s just that the original is a very funny joke about Linus Torwalds on his walking desk, the “fixes” are … I don’t know what they are but they are not jokes but are being posted in “Programmer Humor”.

It’s a typo from “headquarters.”
Ah yes, North America, birthplace of Linus Torvalds and only part of the world where Linux is developed

Microsoft and Apple have offices around the world though, so it doesn’t really make sense
