Make it seem viable
Make it the only choice
Make most non-voters into voters for your new party
Make significant portions of existing party voters line up on your side
And not have it be an extremist party
And do it all in 50 states in less than 4 years while being opposed by the party in power.
And if any single thing doesn’t happen just right, it all falls apart
