Friend, this is not the way to change minds. It is possible this person merely wishes to verify or discredit the opinions and hot takes by consuming the primary source. Watching a single interview isn’t necessarily a slippery slope. In fact, given the opportunity to do so, they might come to the same conclusions as you regarding Putin. Now though, whether they watch it or not, you’ve represented us (the folks that agree this war is unjustifiable) in a way that indicates we’re completely closed off to reason.

Edit: I didn’t notice this was the same commenter who said:

Don’t listen to them. First thing putin asked was “do you want a talk show or a serious conversation?” You don’t need to agree with him but the whole interview was a reasonable and civilized attempt to show the russian perspective to western audiences.

I don’t totally agree with this take, I think this interview was more an attempt to present to the more gullible and easy-to-sway westerners (Tucker Carlson’s base) of Putin’s extremely outdated and downright mideval philosophy regarding justifications for war in the modern era.

I think my point still stands though: “Don’t feed the trolls.” Telling them to fuck off plays right into their hands. I don’t want to make any assumptions about this commenter’s intentions, but if they are indeed trolling, making you say something reactionary was likely their intent.
