I read a story about someone use used it in their eyeballs to cure cancer. Covid is nothing to pee.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Would it be a good idea to become a online freelancer?
1·13 days agoIf you are good with animals I recommend pet sitting. There’s websites for that where I am. I do pet sitting by word of mouth rather than on the website, but it is pretty dope and chill. If you really get into it, you can get a first aid pet license and charge more too.
It will not replace a full time income but it’s nice bonus money.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What are you doing for digital estate planning?
13·1 month agoMy uncle passed unexpectedly a few years ago. He didn’t have any family nearby so I went down with my dad to sort through his shit. This man had an entire spreadsheet with every single account username and password he had printed out. I cannot tell you how much time it saved me. He had a ton of accounts with monthly payments (mostly porn) that I was able to cancel immediately, and we were able to access all his banking stuff.
He also had a hard-drive full of meticulously organized porn, which was depressing to have to wipe to be honest because he had clearly put a lot of time and effort into it.
I dont recommend just a spreadsheet like that in your house tbh but ever since, I created a password manager with one primary password that my partner knows where to find if anything were to happen to me.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is it okay to be highly invested in politics and political news to the point of wanting it to control your life and express your socialist world views against Conservative corruption and fascism?
1·2 months agoYes totally okay! Just dont forget to also take care of yourself and try not to feel guilty about it. You can’t pour from an empty cup.

2·2 months agoIt also makes a big difference if you wash them right away vs if you wait a day or two

Dad Jokes@lemmy.world•Post your unfunny dad funniesEnglish
5·2 months agoI’m not a dad but my dad used to have a couple (still does I just don’t live with him anymore lol)
Whenever we’d be walking somewhere and I would ask where we’re going he’d say “wherever our feet take us”, frustrated the heck out of me as a child but he was always very amused by it.
And a also, if you were walking and tripped on something he’d ask “why are you walking like that?”. We still do this one as a long-running joke in my family.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Meal Replacement Drink Suggestions?
3·2 months agoMy only issue with this is that at least where I live, nuts are absurdly expensive. Like, paid $27 for a bag of walnuts recently expensive 😭
But a lot of redditors and the bots are garbage too. That place eis full of so much transphobia and racism these days. Not to say lemmy is perfect but I’ve certainly seen less of it here.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do you make friends online?
3·2 months agoSame tbh. I don’t have any tips but would love to learn! I’m also awful at keeping long distance friendships unless they’re okay to just exchange memes every day.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do you people read books?
31·2 months agoI just listen to them. It does take more concentration to listen to ‘hard’ books but then I do something more mindless like cross stitch or colouring. Just anything to keep my hands busy so I can focus on the content. Sometimes I will also have a digital version of the book so I can re-read something if I’m getting stuck on a part.
They also sell kobo holders for bed, that might help you?
Psychologically speaking, check ins at the beginning of the meeting are important to create connections in the group and make people feel more comfortable to speak up later. It’s literally just behavioural science.
It’s such a shitty dynamic honestly. I know drivers are poorly paid and often mistreated and always fighting the clock, but as a restaurant worker I also saw how absolutely fucking rude they can be to servers. I can’t tell you the amount of times I was walking to a table or trying to help someone and had a phone shoved in my face or an order number yelled at me. Capitalism brings out the worst in all of us.

1·3 months agoI mean, yes vote, but also organize, hold people accountable, and fight when it’s necessary. Voting in itself isn’t the only thing democracy is about and if people think capitalism will be fixed just by voting well…

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Someone said I post an average of 6 posts a day. Where did they get that type of information? Not upset curious cause it's another way I can compliment others with facts about them.
1·3 months agoThere’s a tool on reddit that can summarize a bunch of stats if you put in a username. I wonder if there’s something like that for lemmy.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Where do I go for unbiased news in the world without it having an ulterior motive or kissing ass to the establishment of said country?
1·3 months agoNot that I’ve ever heard of/noticed, but if you have any details on that I’d love to hear.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Where do I go for unbiased news in the world without it having an ulterior motive or kissing ass to the establishment of said country?
64·3 months agoI use https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/
I also just follow independent reporters that have a bias I like, are honest about that bias, and cite their sources. (Nothing is ever truly unbiased)
Regular ddg also just has a setting where you can turn it off. Is this different?

Because clearly it should be Red Dwarf
