Your computer very likely doesn’t need a special distro for low end devices yet. A common distro like linux mint will do fine, and that’s probably the best choice if you’re new to linux.

Edit: if you only want to host stuff on it, and nothing else, maybe that yunohost people recommended can be a better choice

Imo, those devices tend to be too “extremist” on the distraction-free side. Something with a comfortable keyboard, a smaller screen (e-ink would really be nice) and an available browser for doing some online research is nice. Just removing notifications and access to social media is enough to eliminate most distractions. That one from the post looks interesting if the browser is reasonably responsive.

They’re just entering a market owned by a few big players. One simply can’t come out with a high end product out of nowhere. Maybe it’s not even the goal
